The Alleghany Highlands VA250 Committee is proud to be bringing the VA250 Mobile Museum to the Alleghany Highlands of Virginia!
The mobile Museum is A hands-on, interactive, and immersive "museum on wheels". The VA250 Mobile Museum Experience titled "Out of Many, One" is housed in a quad-expandable tractor trailer that is traveling throughout Virginia and beyond. The mobile museum brings key stories of Virginia’s rich history to schools, museums, local events, fairs, and more, highlighting every region of the state.

*There is no fee to access the VA250 Mobile Museum Experience.*

Dates: The VA250 Mobile Museum will be here from August 8th - August 10th
Location: The Mobile museum will be located in Mid City Mall parking lot; 333 W. Locust St. Covington, VA 24426
Times:
Friday, Aug. 8th: once its set up-6PM (a post will be made on the Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Facebook page once its open)
Saturday, Aug. 9th: 10AM-6PM
Sunday, Aug. 10th: 10AM-6PM

We're partnering with Olde Town Covington to have "America the Beautiful" inspired art work from our local youth artists displayed right next to the Mobile Museum in the Alley Gallery! The mobile museum will be a vendor at The 47th Annual Street Scene event that will be taking place in downtown Covington, VA on August 9, 2025! Street Scene is the longest running car show in Virginia. Along with cars, trucks and bikes you will find food, vendors, kids activities and more filling the streets of downtown Covington, making this a fun filled family activity. Come out to streetscene and experience the history of VA while your at it!
