Sail Yorktown Festival

About

Set sail for an unforgettable weekend at the Sail Yorktown Festival, an official Sail Virginia 2026 Affiliate Harbor event, June 12–14, 2026!

Kick things off Friday morning with a spectacular Opening Ceremony & Parade of Sail on the York River, then dive into three days of free tall ship and military deck tours, living history exhibits, hourly military drills and firing demonstrations, a lively vendor village, kids’ crafts, and nonstop entertainment.

Meet the fleet, including Elissa, a three-masted 1877 barque based in Galveston and the official Tall Ship of Texas; Picton Castle, a three-masted barque with roots as a 1928 Yorkshire fishing trawler; Jamestown Settlement’s Godspeed, a recreation of one of three ships that carried 144 settlers to Virginia in 1606–1607; and Luna, an 18th-century colonial sloop replica by the Colonial Seaport Foundation.

Live music fills the air all weekend across Historic Yorktown with performances by The Fifes & Drums of York Town, the Tiki Bar Band, Karissa Ella, the Liberty Dolls, the Tomcats Dixieland Trio, the Williamsburg Classic Swing Orchestra, and more.

On Saturday, June 13, don’t miss the patriotic concert from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the Yorktown Victory Monument, featuring the Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra and culminating in Peter Boyer’s American Mosaic, a stunning multimedia tribute to the nation’s story.

Historic Main Street will also be bustling with the Revolution on Main featuring vendors from various historical societies, museums, reenactment groups, and the Colonial National Historical Park. In addition, many of the historic homes and buildings will be open to tour, such as the Moore House, Nelson House, Swan Tavern, Poor Potter site, and the Cemetery Lodge.
