Lafayette, accompanied by his daughter, Virginie, will arrive by ferry boat at North Landing to greet the children gathered there. James Fayette and his wife Sylvia along with Portsmouth Mayor Shannon Glover and his wife, Paula, will meet Lafayette as he disembarks. Lafayette and Company will then lead the children to the Lafayette Arch at Marquis de La Fayette Park, where a ceremony will be held specially designed just for them!
